Redcompra is Chile's dominant domestic debit and prepaid card scheme, managed by Transbank through Banco de Chile's ATM network. It holds a 44% market share of card transactions and is the only scheme authorised to process debit and prepaid cards issued by Chilean banks. Redcompra's dominance explains why "local schemes" account for 70% of card transactions in Chile.
