Ecommpay adds Klarna's full set of pay-later options for its merchants
Ecommpay merchants can now offer Klarna's pay-in-full, pay-in-3, pay-in-4, pay-in-30-days and financing options through one integration.
What changed
UK payments platform Ecommpay said on 13 October 2026 that it has integrated Klarna, making Klarna's payment options available to its merchants through their existing Ecommpay connection. The options are Pay in Full, Pay in 3, Pay in 4, Pay in 30 days and longer-term financing.
Ecommpay serves merchants of many sizes across retail, travel and hospitality, digital goods, mobility, insurance and financial services. The announcement is centred on the UK, with Klarna's UK and Ireland country manager quoted, but Klarna also described the deal as giving it access to Ecommpay's wider merchant base. Neither company listed specific launch countries or named merchants.
The timing lines up with the holiday shopping season, when instalment payments are used most heavily and when retailers are looking for conversion gains at checkout. For a merchant already on Ecommpay, adding Klarna through the same gateway avoids a separate contract and technical integration, and keeps reporting and reconciliation in one place.
The launch also comes as UK deferred-payment credit such as pay-in-3 moves under FCA regulation, with affordability checks and new consumer protections for lenders. That burden falls mainly on Klarna rather than the merchant, but it can still change approval rates and the disclosures shoppers see at checkout.
What merchants must do
If you process with Ecommpay, ask whether Klarna can be switched on for your markets before the holiday peak and what the merchant fee is per option. A/B test showing Klarna at checkout on higher-basket products and track conversion against the added cost. Make sure your refund and returns flow handles instalment orders correctly before enabling them.
